Champoluc

Champoluc

Champoluc is the most renowned tourist center in the Ayas Valley, at 1568 meters above sea level in a suggestive and spectacular landscape. In fact, in every season of the year, from skiing to mountain biking, Champoluc offers a wide range of possibilities for relaxing fun.
Known and frequented both for its high-quality tourist infrastructure and for the excellent Monterosa Ski facilities, which connect the Ayas Valley with the Gressoney Valley through the Bettaforca Hill, it is a holiday destination both in winter and in the summer season.
Champoluc is part of Ayas municipality fragmented into numerous villages, the best known of which are Antagnod, Frachey, Saint-Jacques and Crest. Many villages and localities that "dot" the Ayas valley such as Challant Saint-Victor, Challant Saint-Anselme, Brusson ... in turn fragmented into hamlets of even a few houses.
Long renowned as a ski center for Nordic skiing and biathlon, Brusson is home to top-level international competitions. The cross-country skiing trails wind along the course of the Evançon stream from Arcesaz to Extrepieraz, passing through the sunny Vollon plain.

The downhill slopes are located above 1,700 m. above sea level, in the town of Estoul, with ample exposure to the sun and a surprising panorama.
Locations that have always lived on traditional wood and stone architecture, as well as castles and monumental buildings that preserve the soul of local history and traditions.
